About Indigo Pulse

Studio jazz shaped by rhythm, atmosphere, and melodic restraint.

Indigo Pulse is a studio jazz project exploring rhythm, texture, and harmonic color inside a contemporary jazz frame. Some pieces move through odd meters and asymmetrical grooves; others begin from more familiar foundations — ballads, bossa-influenced motion, swing, or post-bebop phrasing. Across those settings, the goal is not complexity for its own sake, but a more elastic sense of time: music that feels spacious, melodic, and quietly unpredictable.

Future releases continue that search in new rhythmic environments, including Latin and Afro-Cuban-influenced material where the pulse may be recognizable, but the forms, textures, and instrumentation are allowed to drift beyond traditional templates.

These Are Odd Times by Indigo Pulse is a masterful new studio project that beautifully redefines the boundaries of contemporary jazz. Across nine meticulously styled pieces, the release explores rhythm, texture, and harmonic color with a brilliant sense of curiosity. Rather than chasing technical complexity for its own sake, the project focuses on cultivating an elastic, spacious sense of time. The result is a body of work that feels deeply melodic, emotionally resonant, and quietly unpredictable.
